Working with businesses to engage staff

Businesses can agree environmental policies and targets at one level. But it is only when staff members are engaged and keen to get involved that real change begins. ENVIBE can help businesses in a number of ways to appeal to staff. ENVIBE partners are happy to speak at ‘Green Group’ meetings or perhaps help you organise creative in-office events. There are also a number of resources such as pull-up banners, display boards, information and freebies that can be provided.

TPS Consult in central Croydon is one example of a business that borrowed ENVIBE materials for a promotion to staff during London Sustainability Weeks at the start of June 2005. Employees were encouraged to stop for a coffee in reception and to discuss the topic of the day which ranged from recycling, energy saving, travel to work and fair-trade.
