Businesses play the green game |

Envibe and its sustainable transport partner Seltrans teamed up on the 12th March 2008 to host the Greener Nation Game designed to get businesses in Croydon to think green.
The evening started off with a quiz on sustainable transport in which contestants were asked a series of questions on green issues and environmentally friendly transport. It was held at Selsdon Park Hotel and pitted Croydon businesses head-to-head. Entrants were wined and dined and the event culminated in a Bruce Forsyth-style Generation Game show where businesses could get points to win prizes! The winning team consisted of staff from the Housing Corporation and Lightning Office Supplies. They received prizes from an imitation conveyor belt which included bicycle equipment, environmental DVDs, books and, of course, a cuddly toy. Although it was a competitive evening Anna Eltringham, Envibe Co-ordinator said "We all need to be prepared to step out and work together both within and beyond our organisations. In this way we can make a difference in Croydon, to congestion, pollution and quality of life, and in turn we make a difference to the world." |
