GENERAL ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS

Croydon Council is the overall co-ordinator of the ENVIBE programme. The Council is in a unique position to co-ordinate ENVIBE partners and so provide a one-stop shop for environmental support to local businesses. The co-ordinating role is based in the Council’s Environment & Sustainability team that works with businesses, residents and community organisations to reduce our impact on the environment. Other Council partners are also involved in the project such as the District Centre Manager and Business Waste team. Any enquiries that cannot obviously be dealt with by the organisations listed here can be directed to general@envibe.co.uk

GREEN PROCUREMENT

Run by London Remade, the Mayor’s Green Procurement Code helps organisations across the Capital specify, source and procure recycled and sustainable products and materials. A dedicated team of Green Procurement brokers work with signatories on a one-to-one basis to help them overcome their barriers to buying recycled. Feeding back to suppliers, London Remade actively encourages the development and availability of recycled alternatives and helps generate demand. Alongside a materials matching service, linking waste producers with those who can reprocess or utilise this waste, the brokers also offer advice and support on environmental policies and recycling.
