Energy and Water Efficiency

Turn off lights and electrical appliances when not in use. A photocopier left on overnight wastes enough energy to make 5300 copies.

Turn off computer screens when not in use (screen savers save screens, not energy)! Monitors use 70% of a computer’s power.

For every degree that you can turn your heating down you can save 5-10% on your heating bill.

When buying electrical appliances try to buy energy efficient options. Look out for:

	The Energy Efficiency Recommended Logo		The European Energy Efficiency label (rated A or B)
	The Energy Star label
